Blender import mine imator models download#
The rig is not currently for download as I'm debugging with my own stuff. I may get around to constructing a blender version, but I'm a novice with that program, so for now it's a nope. Particles would have a one-pixel extrusion, and depending on the particle, will rotate so its not always facing the player, therefor you can see the 3D model. Unless you have MAYA autodesk 2014 or up, this rig will not work in it. We can already create custom 3D models for blocks, and now that particles dont hog memory anymore, I think the ability to make 3D particles as an option would be awesome. Rigs are designed to work in the program they were constructed in. That said I am pleased with what I have and can add to it in the future if needed. Because it's from a game, the model isn't technically meant to be for animation, so some of the skeleton isn't designed to be used with fancy maya rig controls. I've also separated his hat from his model so it can be removed or replaced if need be.Īs rigs go, this isn't a complicated one. I've also gone and given him a tongue that I modelled and rigged myself. 2) MDD-OBJ-EXPORTER - with this, I was successfully able to import the animated model into. 1) threeJsFileTranslator.py which is a maya plugin to export a model and is provided as a part of the threejs package. In short, I added all the controls (the coloured circles and squares etc) to make the model easier to animate inside of Maya. I need to be able to convert it a JSON format for use with three js. Of course that could all change if the rig ends up breaking mid way through an animation, but it's behaved so far, so fingers crossed.
